Seishun Heavy Rotation manga surpasses 1.2 million copies sold
The 12th volume of the shoujo novel Seishun Heavy Rotation, written and drawn by author Ai Minase, arrived in Japan today. The new copy confirms the total of 1.2 million copies sold since the beginning in 2020 (check image below).
More aimed at a female audience, the story follows student Nao Kosaka, who together with two classmates take exams to enter high school.
Shaking with nervousness, Nao is comforted by Keishi Haruna, a young man who is highly targeted due to his appearance but is rumored to have a cold and debauched personality, rejecting any girl who declares herself to him. Knowing this, Nao claims that she would never fall in love with someone like that, however, Keishi has aroused a certain interest in her and intends to prove otherwise.
The manga is published in chapters through Sho-Comi magazine while independent volumes are distributed by Shogakukan. Curiosity: Before pursuing a solo career, Ai Minase was an assistant to Arina Tanemura, the latter author of Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (anime in 1999) and Full Moon wo Sagashite (anime in 2002) as well as designer of the Idolish7 series.
