The Colorido studio will once again adapt the Burn The Witch manga into an anime, according to a production statement made today. The new anime, Burn The Witch #0.8, introduces a plot prologue; the exhibition format has not yet been revealed. It might be a movie, an OVA, or even an episode-based TV show. The announcement was accompanied by a first video that teased additional details, including the premiere season, in upcoming updates. Work by Tite Kubo, the series began in a one-shot published in 2018 through Shonen Jump magazine. The good reception led to the 2020 manga which unfortunately went on hiatus after 5 chapters. A film arrived in Japanese cinemas in the same year and was later re-edited in 3 episodes for TV/Streaming.
The story shows the daily lives of two young witches, Ninny and Noel, working in the city of Reverse London where dragons suddenly appear. They belong to the West Branch society responsible for taming these creatures, preventing non-authority people from coming into contact with them. Fun fact: Burn The Witch is set in the same universe as the "Bleach" series, which Tite Kubo is also the author of.
