The weekly television show starts on October 2nd, coinciding with the launch on the Abema streaming service. The already completed light novel by Moji Kakiya (writing) and Toi 8 (illustrations), which sold more than 1 million copies in 11 published books, will be the subject of the anime. Six copies of the unfinished manga by Kyu Urushibara are included with this price.

The story initially follows Belgrive, a man who, at a young age, wanted to be a great adventurer and achieve fame and wealth. But after suffering a serious injury, he abandons his dream and retires early, returning to the peaceful life of his hometown. Carrying out simple tasks, taking care of the countryside and protecting people, one day Belgrive finds a newborn girl, abandoned in the forest, and decides to adopt her, naming her Angeline.

Raised with great affection Angeline demonstrates great talent in using the sword and after going to the capital she becomes an S-Rank adventurer (the highest), gaining both fame and money. However, her father's distance bothers her and all she wants is to return home and see him, now close to 40 years old. The anime will be directed by Naoki Murata (he was episode director in "Yuukoku no Moriarty"), script by Yuichiro Momose (he wrote for "Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?") and animation design/direction by Jun Shibata. In the dubbing, Belgrive will be voiced by Junichi Suwabe (Prof. Aizawa from "Boku no Hero Academia") while Angeline will be played by Saori Hayami (Yor Forger from "Spy x Family").
