Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi (Hokkaido Girls Are Super Attractive) has a new video and image from Blade and Silver Link Studios that highlights Minami Fuyuki, who is portrayed by Ayane Sakura. After being delayed, the anime that was confirmed ten months ago will finally air in January 2024. The manga by Kai Ikada, which has received over an astounding 120 million views on the Shonen Jump Plus reading service, will be the subject of the story.
Aimed at male teenagers looking for their first girlfriend, the story will follow young Shiki Tsubasa who moves from Tokyo to the island of Hokkaido, north of Japan, during the winter, aiming to continue his high school education. There he meets Minami, a super attractive and somewhat cheeky girl who soon sees him as a future romantic partner. After a few weeks, Shiki finds that not only Minami but other girls from Hokkaido have more charm than he imagined.
Character design will be handled by Katsuyuki Sato (same position in "Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Motokano Datta"), general direction by Misuzu Hoshino (she directed "Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii"), and supervision/scripting by Mirai Minato (she directed "Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru"). Along with Ayane Sakura, the dubbing cast will include Sayuri, dubbed by Yumiri Hanamori (Sagiri from "Jigokuraku"), Rena, played by Reina Ueda (Lemon from "Mashle"), and Shiki, represented by Nobunaga Shimazaki (Yuno from "Black Clover").
