The first video for 2.5-Jigen no Ririsa (Seductive Girl in 2.5D), which was announced in December of last year, was released today. The debut is scheduled for some time in 2024. J.C. Staff will produce the anime based on Yuu Hashimoto's manga, which sold over 1.7 million copies in its first 15 volumes.
The manga club president and student Masamune Okumura, who claims to have no interest in actual girls but is enthralled by a seductive 2D heroine who appears in his favorite work, will be the focus of the story, which is aimed at teenagers.
Everything changes when in a new school year student Lilysa decides to join the club. She loves cosplay and tries to convince Masamune to photograph her. The boy initially shows no interest, but when he sees her dressed like his favorite heroine, he discovers the ideal combination between reality and fantasy.
The anime will be directed by Hideki Okamoto (directed "Konohana Kitan"), script by Takao Yoshioka (wrote "Horimiya: Piece"), character design by Tomoyuki Shitaya (designed for "Ryza no Atelier The Animation") and soundtrack by Hiroaki Tsutsumi (composed for "Dr. Stone"). In the dubbing, Masamune will be voiced by Junya Enoki, Lilysa will be played by Kaori Maeda and Mikari will be voiced by Akari Kito.
