Another trailer for Boushoku no Berkserk (The Barbarian of Gluttony), which will debut on October 4, 2023, was released today by the A.C.G.T. studio.

Although the series' plot and animation make few promises, its strongest element will be the presence of strong female supporting characters who will appear in scenes with the main character. The title refers to the light book by Isshiki Ichika and Fame, which sold more than 1.4 million copies in its first eight volumes.

The story will follow Fate, a low-ranking soldier in charge of the palace guard. He suffers from great discomfort because he is always hungry due to an ability he acquired at birth. This seemingly useless power makes his life difficult but hides an important secret. 

 One day, after eliminating an invading thief, Fate's ability is activated, sucking the opponent's soul, level status, and capabilities. Understanding the real use of this power, he will use it to build his name and free himself from all the stigma and humiliation he suffered in the past. The anime will be directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa (directed "Orient"), script by Mariko Kunisawa (she wrote for "Honzuki no Gekokujou 2") and character design by Takafumi Furusawa. In the dubbing Fate will be played by Ryota Osaka (Sadao from "Hataraku! Maou-sama"), Greed will be voiced by Tomokazu Seki (Gilgamesh from "Fate/Stay Night"), Roxy will be voiced by Hisako Toujou, Myne will be played by Misato Matsuoka (Tsubaki from "Rokudou no Onna-tachi") and Eris will be voiced by Hitomi Sekine (Koyuzu from "Edomae Elf").
